I stayed at Chuck and Susan’s apartment for another six days, making a total of nine days. Chuck told me that I’m now tied for the longest stays at their place. I’m very grateful that they allowed to me stay this long. Previously, I thought about getting a hostel, but Chuck extended his invitation.
I did some chores around the apartment, including sweeping the patio, taking down two doors, and sharpening some knives. I also cleaned my bicycle and donated a few things from my panniers for future cyclists.
Shkodër reminds me of Asia with all the bicycles. Albania is still a developing country with the occasional water outages that happened in the past few days as they are still trying to complete the city’s infrastructure.
Overall, I had a great time in Shkodër. It was definitely a change of pace going from cycling to a more slow-down life. Tomorrow, I’ll resume cycling and ride 26 miles south to Lezhë.
