Reflections

Every year around this time I feel the need to reflect on the past year. What have I learned and what have I done. Mostly, this year has been a year of learning at work, getting more experience with web development, both front end and back end. I’ve also started rereading some books that will motivate me.

Right now I’m at a good spot in my life. But I feel when I start feeling this way something has to change for the better. I need to dig deeper to find out what I really want in life. Next year will be better than any year before.

Above is a photo I took this morning on my walk. There’s beauty in everything. Even in a wilting flower. And death is not the end. By spring, there will be new flowers.

A Short Walk

Today is the first day that I want to pay attention to the things around my neighborhood. I only walked less than two blocks and I was enchanted by the things around me. The dead leaves, a blooming flower, a neighbor’s front yard. I had to stop myself since cell phone photos drain my battery but I captured what I wanted. I hope you enjoy my “picking of the day.” You can view more of today’s photos on Instagram.
